Head gasket blown..Water in the Oil??

i just recently bought a 94 4 door and the other day, the car overheated and everything cut off in the middle of the road... I had it towed home..checked the oil and there is water in it...blown head gasket right?...maybe a warped head?...what else should i do when i start taking everthing off to get to the head?...ive never replaced a head gasket before...are there any websites or books other than the xplorer manual that would help me before i start?...thanks

Welcome to the club. Mine just blew and I opted to have Ford fix it due to lack of knowledge and time. Good luck
