Does anyone know if its possible to add an aftermarket amp to my existing stock system. I have the Ford tape with CD changer in console. Id like a bit more bass(I plan on getting better 5x7s in all doors. I dont really have the room for a subwoofer unless it fits in the existing hole in back.

Anyone have any ides or suggestions. I cant really afford a amp and tuner so i was thinking of going with an amp for now.

Has anyone wired one up and are there wiring adapters?

Will the stock CD changer work with a aftermarket HU?

Thanks

the stock cd changer will not work with an aftermarket HU.
you can run an aftermarket amp off the stock HU if it has high level inputs. if you want more bass without losing space and you want to keep your stock setup, try adding an amplified MTX Thunderform. it fits in the plastic panel on the passenger side of cargo area. you dont even have to hook up another amp since there is one built in.
