I have CEL codes PO-141 and PO-153, indicating the the right aft ( as viewed from the driver's seat) and left forward sensors are "slow to respond" and "faulted", respectively. After locating them, I noticed what appears to be an inspection port above the aft sensor that is held in pace with screws from inside the vehicle and clips in the floor that the screws go through.
Questions: 1. Can that inspection port be removed to help in the replacement procedure?
2. Will a 7/8ths open-end wrench work to remove the sensors? I have a socket set borrowed from Auto Zone, but it doesn't fit in the available area.
3. Is it necessary to replace a sensor that is "slow to respond", or is there something I can do to "speed it up"?
4. Is it easier to remove the sensors while they are hot, or will just using PB Blaster do the trick?
Thank you for any help in this matter.
