Looking ot buy one with about 100 000 miles on it. Good idea? What should I look for when buying it, apart from the usual things you look at when buying used. Are there any specific things that stand out about the truck? What the max I should pay for it? (fully loaded)

My only advise is get the V8. Everything else is just personal preference like leather over cloth, the look of Eddie Bauer over the Limited, and such. You could expect to pay up to about 8-9 grand depending of course of the condition of the truck.

Besides checking for a regular service history, check and see if the ball joints have ever been replaced. They are a common problem on that year of vehicle and tend to be worn around the 80-100k mile range.
