I used to do some business with a car audio shop around here, and the owner was telling me about a customer of his who owned a Disco. He said the guy paid more per month on repairs than he did on his car payment. I'm not sure what year that was, but dude, it's a Land Rover. Get a warranty if you're going to buy one.

I love the Rovers, but dealers can be scarce in some places and replacement parts are really expensive. Plus the 12mpg or less really takes a hit on the wallet.

thanks for the replys. i will let ya'll know what i decide later.

Now I wouldn't say a disco isn't reliable. I haven't had a problem really for the past 2 year, minus a dead alternator. It has NEVER left me stranded, except that one time. 1995s have less electrical problems, because they have less electronics. They don't have power seats or heated seats, and the 3.9 liter in the 95 has fewer problems then the 4.0 in the 96+. I would say if you are looking at one make sure it has all the records and has kept up on regular maintence. And have it checked out by a mechanic.

Got any other questions?

Chris
