Evening all. New member here seeking some advice on doing a pre purchase inspection. The Explorer I'm looking at is a '98 Sport, 2wd, 4.0 OHV, 5-speed, 181K miles. Aside from the usual things to look at, what do you guys suggest I pay particular attention to? Research so far has turned up potential problems in the following areas:

-cracked cylinder heads. According to the current owner, these were replaced within the past 2K miles. I'm trying to find out what replacements were put on (stock vs aftermarket from Clearwater or Odessa). Is there any way such as visible casting number to confirm?
-leaking slave cylinder inside the bellhousing
-rusted radiator supports
-hvac blend door
-squeaking/chirping cam synchronizer

Any other info you guys could provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

for me, i would check the leaf springs as well. rough shifts also seem common, even tho i don't own one, this is my research. also, the door handles seemto be a problem. also, the locks are commo0ng problem points.
