Hi,
So I have went through a lot of things on my new 98 mountie. It keeps throwing po171 and po174 codes and runs kind of strange when hitting the gas. I have cleaned the maf, checked the pcv valve, adjusted the tps sensor, checked vacumn lines I can see and see they are plugged in. I have noticed that someone said it could be an evap leak if the temperature or blender door settings are not right. If I put my ac on max cool it blows cold. Every other setting blows hot but the vents blow correct when switched. I hit the gas and it seems like it is held back by a governer or something unless I feather off the gas a little bit and it will slowly pick up speed. When I adjusted the tps it helped quite a bit but I could only get it adjusted to 1.06 volts but it was at 1.35 when I started slotting the holes. If I slot anymore the plastic ear will break. I bought a new tps and plugged it in and same 1.35 reading withought slotting so the tps sensor reads accurate. I replaced the vac line to the canister under the battery because it looked beat up but it did not change anything so it must not have been leaking. All the other hoses looked in decent shape and seemed hooked up. I would replace the upper intake gasket next but don't think that would make the ac problem. Any help is appreciated.
