Hello, working on a bare bones 98 ranger with a draw. Pulling 1.09 with the multimeter. Here what i know.
You open the pass door and the multi-meter spikes up to 1.8+. I open the drivers door and no change at all. I pulled the switch on the latch, no issues. Checked the resistance on the switch and wiring, all checked out ok.
Here comes the fun part. I push the drivers seat all the way forward and the meter goes down to .23. I pull it back and it shoots up. I remove the seat completely to check the wiring under the mat and can not find an issue or duplicate the drop in voltage by moving the wires etc. I checked under the truck to see if the seat bolts were attached to a ground, but it doesn't appear so.
Anything I'm missing here?
