I've been getting a small shudder through the drive train for a while now.
It happens only when turning and exceleratinf from a stop, its worse when towing. To me it seem like the diff.
I've heard that the LSD clutches can slip.

Any tips?

Could be the differential. Try replacing fluid and add the friction stuff if you have the LSD. Do you have 4x4? Another possibility is your auto 4x4 is kicking in when it shouldn't. General causes are dirty/malfuntioning speed sensors or malfuntioning GEM. Might also want to check the condition of your U-joints.

The GEM has ben replaced before under warr, at the time it was doing strange things with the tranny when under load (uphil or towing.

Whats the easiest way to check it? (disconnect maybe?)

Where's it live?

I'd guess that your transfer case is acting up and is engaging 4wd when it shouldn't be.

I suspect a plug problem

when you have an intermitant shudder under load. I had one with my 97 and the first thing I thought was a transmission problem. Plugs had only 4K on them. Much later I finally got an engine code missfire #4. The plug had coated with something odd. Seems I have an intake gasket problem. Till spring when I can do the repair, I carry a couple extra plugs.
