Anybody got any ideas as to the following problem. I guess its time for dr tranny... 30k miles so its still warranteed!
Cruising along I-40 at 65mph on cruise control when suddenly, the tranny seemed to go into neutral! Engine r's raced as I dis-engaged the cruise control and coasted to the side of the road(r's returned to idle when cruise control was dis-engaged). Repeated pressing on the accelerator yeilded no movement of the vehicle. I shifted the tranny to N, then D and normal function returned. I have travelled approx 300 miles since without a recurrance(wife sez it did something like this once a couple of weeks ago...). NO warning lights of any kind... I was running in OD. The vehicle is 4x4, SOHC and has been babied almost all of its 30k miles.
Any input is appreciated before I go to the dealer...
