i might be going to look at a 98 sport tomorrow. with only 43,000 miles on it. I was wondering what are some things i should look at or check.

The sport i'm looking at was in a reck but they fixed it i believe it was the front that was involved. What dangers are present when you look at buying car that has been involved in a wreck?

thanks
ryan

Front end - check the radiator and all of the conections, depending on how big the crash was it probably required a new one, if it was a major crash and the radiator was not new I personally would be worried.

I agree, Front end on the '98's is a problem to begin with. Mine was never in an accidnet and I am always battling some sort of clank, clunk noise and loose feeling.

Also, Things I would Check are:

1.Cold Startup, any noises ect... (ask if 00m12 was done)
2. Loping Idle, make sure the idle is rock solid
3. Make sure the temp doesn't fluctuate even alittle
4. check the a/c-heater make sure they work and the blend door works properly (aka floor/face/defrost)
5. check for clunk when stopping starting (driveshaft)
6. go somewhere where you can test the control trac system engage dis-engage is functioning properly
7. test 4wd system (no clunking racheting ect...)
8. check rear wiper (motors go, arm is hard to get adjusted properly) if it has been bent

well that's all I can think of right now,

Hope this helped,
good Luck,
