All i have to do is go look now

I had a problem several months ago with the pressure switch showing NO oil pressure..i Think changing the oil fixed it cuz i didn't do anything else.

Now, the pressure gauge is Now showing the pressure to be Low, right above the low line on the gauge. Before it didn't move at all, now it goes up but not too far.

motor has 90K miles and has been babied and used synthetic oil.

I can't imagine it actually HAS low pressure(haven't tested it yet).

anybody have any thoughts on the switch?

doing some searches and if that IS a dummy switch..it must be messed up if the needle is only moving halfway.

I have the haynes manual and they have a pic for the location on the SOHC but it looks a Little different than what's under my hood

I grabbed a switch cuz they're so cheap..but I'm not 100% sure Where the damn thing is.
If anybody has done this on a 98 XLT..
point me in the right direction
