My wife's 99 Eddie Bauer 2WD 5.0 has 286,x.. miles. It now dies every time you put it in reverse. When you put it in Drive it will move just fine.
I've searched here and found some IAC issues but mostly tranny issues. Hoping for the best, I swapped in a new IAC and as you could probably guess, that didn't fix it.
The truck is in really good shape (we've owned it since new) with no rust on the body, so I'd like to keep it around, but don't want to stick a bunch of money on a tranny rebuild when it's probably not worth much other than the good tires that are on there!
Is there anything else I could try? Thanks!
