dying when put in reverse 01 explorer v6

My wife was trying to take my son to school and when she put it in reverse it died on her. when i got home i gave it some gas when i started it and then it was fine. she went to work that night and was fine when she left. went straight in drive when she left. she stopped by a store and when she put it in reverse it did it again. Any ideas what could be the cause of this?

Um... sounds like an Idle Air Control maybe be going bad on you?

Might wanna take it off and clean it, see if it helps?
