99 Driver door lock actuator

99 XLT 4 door driver door no longer locks/unlocks on the button. all others work ok. figure it's the actuator.

thoughts?


If it is, how bad is it to replace? time/cost?

Check for voltage at the switch before you suspect the actuator. I have a 98 and there is a splice under the Drivers side rear door sill plate(for lack of a better term) for all the locks. Pink/white or pink/yellow wires. Can't remember which. Anyway the splice rusted and the wire for my drivers door came apart from the group. Easy enough to re-splice if that is in fact your issue.
