99 explorer 4.0 sohc coolant leak

Hi, I'm working on a 99 explorer 4.0 sohc I have it torn down and I am not familier with the plastic intake's, used to old school stuff. My question is does antifreeze travel through the lower plastic intake? some have said it does, but to me I does not appear that it does. Look's like it is only through the cylinder head's on these. I just do not want to put it back together and it still leak's. there is a puddle on the top middle of the engine under the intake.

It does not. the leak is coming from the plastic thermostat housing I bet. Quite common on these.

one more question, What is the sensor that is located directly in middle top of the engine under the intake it is round, and the mounting bolt goes through the center of it. Looking through the manual and have not found it yet. Thank's for getting back so quick greatly appreciacted, Steve
