'99 Explorer sport pulling to left

Problem: When i push on the gas pedal hard to accelerate fast my car pulls to the left pretty hard and it makes a wierd almost grinding sound. I have had a couple of my friends who are pretty good with SUV's take a look at it and they didnt have a clue what was wrong with it. Any ideas?

How many miles do you you have on the car?

105 now but its been happening sence about 80k

Have you had it aligned at all lately? Sorry for all the questions just trying to get a feel for what is going on with your car. I had the same problem when I am in 4x4 high.
