99 explorer starter question

would a 92 explorer starter fit a 99 explorer. both 4.0 4wd and auto

The aluminum housings on the front look quite a bit different, but you might be able to take the front off the 99's and put it on the 92's if you'll soon have access to both. Aside from the flanges they look about the same. Could be interesting..
