I know I know.......this is the Explorer forum!!! But the equipent is the same!!! My fiance recently bought a 99 Expedition with a cd changer in the console. It however is not recieving power. In looking into the issue, the changer is not plugged into anything on the dash side of the wiring. The head unit that is there will not recieve any other connectors to it. So where does the factory cd changer plug into?? It's looking like a major dash tear down in order to find where all 4 plugs go. Do they come off other wiring from the back of the radio?? That would seem kinda odd, since have had other fords before and they all at least had some sort of control wiring connected to the radio. So the the big issue..........4 large plugs, nowhere seem to plug them in.....Hopefully theyr are just under the dash somewhere......anyone took theirs out and can tell me where they plug into?? Thanks in advance.

Which stock radio did the truck have? The common Mach or Premium radois both have three plugs in them. The small square connector goes to the changer(and subwoofer for Mach). The main radio connector is rectangular, about 24 wires. The other is square, larger than the other one, it has the antenna wire, and the rear speaker wires I believe.

If you don't have the top line radio to start with(stock radio), then the truck likely will not have all three connectors behind the radio. There are adapters to allow the use of the top line stock radios, plus aftermarket stuff. Good luck,
