Check the sticky thread on the top of the transmission section called the A4LD rebuild diary. You have a 5R55E transmission, but rear section with the low/reverse band is a similar set up.

ok there is one more thing i want to tell u when i drove my truck home and park it.when i went to start it back up and put it in r to back up it would it go back then i put it in drive then back in r it sat for second then it roll back for about 2 to 3 sec then stop and would it move untill i did everything over again.from ur exp what do u think it might be.i did it do no work on the truck yet untill what i'm looking for and how to look for it.

when i was driveing my 99 ford i heard a pop soud and then a hissing sound and now my truck wont go in drive only 2 gear it will drive in it wont even drive in frist gear and my reverse band went a while back but dont have the money to fix it what happen could any one tell me what happen.thanks
