a rack is a ***** to do, but a few hours and it can be done. to me it almost looks like the seal around the sunroof leaks by the stain on the headliner (or that could just be the picture). also make sure it goes from hot to cold air. blend door is also a not so fun thing to do. on the plus side, if it is awd, and its not working, you can use that to get him down in price, and do a 4406 swap
cant say im a 5L addict, but the one i have has me by the balls lol
Thanks, I did not get your comments until after I looked at it. In checking out all the major things that needed repair (see list below) I did not check out the blend door nor the sunroof.
So, the good things:
1. Appears to be mostly cosmetic things. It is a 5.0 2WD, engine starts, idles smoothly, drives and transmissions shifts.
The not so good things, prices all from junk yard or least I can get from other sources.
1. rear hatch does not open, not binding on the body as far as I can see, not sure, maybe can adjust where it bolts to the body. - repair at no cost
2. Both rear doors neither open from the inside or the outside. I have repaired everything there is in a door before once opened, but I am not sure how to get it to open so I can repair it. ~ $100 if I can get the panels off or the doors to open.
3. New shocks, ball joints, tie rods, tires needed. ~ If I wait until Shocktober, I can get this for ~ $400 in parts cost, tires add $500
4. Front drivers seat and cushion as seen in pics. $300 parts cost
5. Passenger window does not roll up, makes no noise. ~ 100 parts cost
6. Various interior door panel pieces and other interior, ~ $100 part cost
7. Door lock mechanisms dead, weak or slipping. ~$100 in parts for all 4 doors.
8. Brakes and disks all around - have all parts.
9. CEL on. ~50parts
10. Rear seal leak ~ 20 parts.
So total, of what I know is ~$1,650. Half of this is probably what would be needed on any used vehicle.
So, I am thinking if the sun roof does not leak I will offer $1,000 since these things running good are only worth about $2,500 IMO.
