'99 Sport Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve

I purchased a IAC valve and will be installing it tomorrow on my '99 4.0L OHV Explorer Sport. On the IAC there is a black knob the side. Do I need to adjust it? There are no tips or instructions in the box. Any heads up would be great!

The knob on the side is actually a vent. It has a felt filter inside. You don't need to do anything with it on a new IAC.
