Here is what I put in my Sport just to add a little THUMP to the music :

Q-Logic custom enclosure
RFP 3410 Sub
Lightning Audio B150.2 Amp
Pioneer DEH-3500
I am pleased with the sound , but I think I need to replace the factory speakers to hear more of the mids and highs. Any comments or sugestions would be welcomed.

factory speakers are so awful. Mine were cardboard cones and ripped to shreds after 2years or so. If you search there are lots of discussions on replacement speakers.

Looks like a nice setup so far

mrossirr, I have a few questions. I have the pioneer DEH-4400 hu, which I believe has the same preouts as yours. I am getting the mtx thunderform, and wondered how you hooked up your amp & sub. Can your HU turn the sub on/off and still have all 4 speakers work? Also, do you have any pointers on removing the side panels? It looks like it is going to be a pain.
I got some pioneer 6x8's at wal-mart, and it was definitely an improvement over stock, especially the highs.

Gonzo- I had mine installed for me. I did not feel comfortable doing the wiring.
Do a search under MTX Thunderforms and you will find a ton of information. Black Magic and several others have posted alot of good information there.

The thunderform cant be turned off and on independently from the speakers with the factory HU. Not sure how to work it with preouts honestly. If its the amped version (amp already in the box) you just set the levels on it before you put the panel back on. Mine was sone by running the power wire. Then there was a lead off of each back speaker to the amp. the Pos from each speaker was twisted and put into the reciever. Then the Neg from each speaker. The remote wire wasnt needed.

To get the panel off, you have to pull all the plastic rivets out. You also need a Torx T50 bit for the back seat belt and a T20 if you have a sport and the pop out windows.that shoulbe be enough room to run everything. If you want more room youll have to undo the front pass speaker.
