Hi I am going to start getting parts for my 4wd swap, I just found a craigslist add that is selling "Front axle Dana 35 IFS 3.73 ratio low miles and is complete with axles hubs spindles
and brake caliper mounts and brake roters price 150.00" which is all the parts I need and I looked at pics online and the 99 ranger has the same t bar suspension so does anyone know if the spindles, and cv's will also work, and if not then can I still just get the diff as it has the right ratio.

Everything is the same except for the hubs I believe. The hubs are vacuum operated on the ranger (non edge model)

ok well that should make it easy, im sure I can find hubs at the junk yard easy, but I remember reading in a post a few days ago that the 95-97 are vacuum on explorers and 98 are not, I dont know if this is true, what year should I get hubs from? Also I am planning to just get a 1354e because here in austin its hard enough to find 4wd expo's in the junkyard let alone manual t cases, and im going to do a sloped body lift so I figured the linkage would be a pain, what I am wondering is if I can just hook up some sort of custom switch for the t case to switch between 4wd, etc. rather than having to get a new ecu and harness, etc. but I will take a manual case if I find one haha.

2nd gen Explorers do not have lock-out hubs.
The vacuum actuation on the 95-96 Explorers was actually in the passenger's side of the axle housing; it would disconnect the shaft between the pass side hub/wheel/etc from the differential.

a 1998 Ranger axle housing will work fine. I actually had one, temporarily, in my Explorer. The front axle housings are exactly the same.

Ok thanks hopefully the guy will email me back he wants 150 for the whole front end that I need.
