im currently getting a 3 inch body lift for my x.
the catch is that my rear bumper is welded onto my frame, and my front bumper is bolted to my frame. i bring this up because doing the body lift it will look hoakey because the bumpers will look saggy compared to the vehicle, and ideas? here is what it looks like now...

I vote cut the rear off and make brackets for it instead of welding it back.

Just cut the rear bumper off and raise it up with new brackets.

How big of tires are you going to?

Im planning on a conservatice one-inch body lift on my '91 it has salt damage, any suggestions for the rusted in body mount bolts?

Why the 1" lift? Do you need it?

Brackets are weak! I dont trust my rear BL bracket for more than standing on. They are a weak link.

Cutting and welding for both of them is t h e way to go IMO.

 true, i use my bumpers to tow stuck buddies out, i thing ill just cut it and weld it higher, and though, my front bumper is bolted, ive been told its better to have it bolter incase i hit, a tree for example, it will give way instead of potentially bending my frame, as it would if it were welded on there...

The stock body mounts are rotted out, and I'd like to fit larger tires but Im not ready to adjust gearing or speedometer yet. Im slowly doing a resto- mod on the truck.
