A/c blowing out nothing but hot air.

I have 2003 Ford explorer it does not matter if you put it on a/c or heat it still blows out hot air. Put a can of a\c stuff but nothing changed.

My guess is it's blend door related. My 2000 Mountaineer did this last spring. It turned out to be a burnt out blend door actuator, it could also have been a broken blend door, but thankfully it was just the actuator. Hopefully you haven't overcharged your A/C system now. If you have you may need to reduce the pressure to have the compressor run.

Check fuse 10.

Does anything happen when you rotate the hot-cold knob?

If not, and fuse 10 is good, the problem is going to be with your blend door, blend door actuator control or AC blend door actuator motor.

Also, IIRC, the function selector switch is vacuum driven and I had to chase down a vacuum leak. Does the function selector switch cause air to come out of different registers or only defrost? Only thru defrost means a vacuum leak.

If the a/c compressor is cycling and your getting HOT air then your problem is going to be with the blend door or it's actuator.
