New to the forum, my daughters 04 Explorer, 4.0L, told me her A/C was coming out of the upper vents. I'm not familiar with what the problem could be. I replaced the blend door actuator this winter and all was fine. Any help would be appreciated!!

Check all vacuum lines under the dash. There was one that's up behind the glove box that gravity and vibration finally got the best of on mine and it came unhooked. I could run the vents, but when I switched it to cool, I would lose vacuum and it would switch over to defrost.

The flap which directs are to the selected vents has broken at the point where it connects to the actuator.

If you drop the glove box and look up toward the radio, you'll see the actuator and that it's no longer attached.

Have to remove the dash to fix it.
