A/C only works on Max Air

My '96 XLT, 4WD, 4 liter V-6, is messed up. I couldn't find anything about this in the FAQs.
The air conditioner only works when set to Max Air. Any other setting blows out hot air.
I've never even HEARD of this happening before. Anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to the boards!! You'll learn a lot of stuff about your Explorer.

Onto your issue, it's your blend door. Do a search and you'll find a lot of info about it. My truck's blend door is broken too but I really don't have the money to fix it.
