well...i dont even use it that much in the first place..., but when i have other people in there they dont always like the windows down. but to the problem. it was working fine last week...then didnt use it for a while and then when i go to turn the switch to ac or max ac.....nothin happens...the air is still moving just like vent, but the compressor never turns on. i never did any offroading or any work under the hood/ I believe it to be an electrical problem because somthing is happening to keep the clutch from engaging on the compressor. I've checked the relay, fuse, and wire going to the compressor and all are good. Any other suggestions before i have it taken to a shop and get ripped off?

thanks,
tc

Either your freon is gone, your low pressure switch is shot, or the compressor bit the bullet.....

hmm....youre right, it might be that the freon is gone....didnt thinkg of that...caus if theres none in there then the compressor wont come on..and thats my prob....again i appreciate the help!

I had this same problem and just today i put in the charger..Now i hear the compressor turn on but then off about 10 seconds later and on and off and the air is still hot..I see the pully turn with the belt. But the very front of the pully is what goes on and off...Any ideas?
