A/C - Radiator Coolant Leak

Have a problem, might be two seperate issues.

1. My vents are blowing ridiculously hot air regardless of what the temperature dial is turned to.

2. When I turn the climate control to Off I have a radiator coolant leak which is pretty severe(smoke billows from the hood causing my buddies to nickname my truck "the dragon"). The leak stops when I turn on the fan, but then it roasts me.

Any thoughts on whether I can fix this myself, or if this has to go to the shop how much you think this would run.

easy fix

These are unrelated obviously. For the A/C issue, Just place a bag of ice down in the engine compartment to keep the engine air cool. For the Coolant leak, just go to your everyday fish supply store and by a water tank filter. Connect it to where the leak is, and put the end back in the top, that way what drips, will be put back in rather than creating the smokestack effect.

First get your radiator leak fixed. It's easy to pull a radiator if you have the right tools.

The radiotor leak isn't my big problem right now, because it doesn't leak as long as the fan is on.
I'm roasting in my truck though, so I need some help with that!

Truckhunk, why don't you post a useful solution rather than this...

Smiesguy check the heater hoses going to the firewall for leaks. You have to find the leak to know what to do to fix it.
