So I pulled center console, seats and carpets up to gain access to the trans access panel. What I found made me stop, go into the house and pour a stiff one... I WISH I had a camera that worked on my phone. I WILL be getting pics soon. I have no reverse (5r55e - wada shocker!) BUT it is hemorrhaging ATF about a QT a min... So Instead of pulling the trans I wanted to investigate first. I have a hole the size of a nickel in the side of the trans (just above the REV LOW servo located in the VB towards the back).
I was prepared to see a crack and was gonna braze it shut, but if there is a hole that big there is probably no saving this transmission................ I am puzzled. If I have manual 1 + 2 and OD then how the hell did that hole get there!?? UHHHHGG it makes no sense? ? ?
