When replacing the spark plugs I took of the air intake tube, plugged the intake with a rag and completed the job. Now I have a code P2104 and others P2100, 07,10. I hope this is a quick fix as it was working just fine before I plugged the intake. Thanks for your help.
Btw, it's an 04 4.6 4WD four door xlt. With a moon roof! Or is that a sun roof?

Will disconnecting the battery reset this?
Everything went back together without issue.

Disconnecting battery didn't help.

I'm at a loss here

Googled P2104 it's the throttle body sensor When I changed my spark plugs on my 02 I never put rag in my throttle body butterfly valve is closed anyway engine not running. Only time I use rags or paper towels is to clean the throttle body.

Ok, thanks, but why would that go bad? I just covered up the intake so debris wouldn't get in there. I used the compressor to blow off some dirt before i took out spark plugs. Why would that cause the codes???

Does the 04 4.6 have the electronic throttle body? I know the 4.0 does in that year. If so, on the back side there should be a throttle position sensor and on the front there will be the throttle body motor. When you put the rag in, is it possible that you moved the butterfly valve? Did you disconnect the plugs to the throttle body sensor and either damage it or not plug it back in? How does the truck run? many people say that they get them codes with a rough idle.

yes the 4.6 has the electronic throttle body. I did move the butterfly valve to clean up the fine dirt left behind, but just barely. Can this be reset. The truck was running fine before just needed plugs at 100000 miles. Now it starts but only idles.

Only Idles? sounds to me like the throttle body motor is not responding. I don't know about moving it will cause issues but I don't think it was intended to be moved by hand. I don't know enough to say but I would think throttle body motor or sensor is bad or not working properly

Here's an update: I took it all apart again. Took off the throttle body and cleaned it real well. Throttle body was very dirty and must have triggered something when I removed the electrical plug from the TPS. Otherwise I have no idea. Greased all the plugs and put it all back together and it works! Goofy bugger! I just wanted to change the plugs after all.

I hate that! Sometimes your just trying to fix a small problem, or do some maintenance and either you break something else or something else goes wrong because of it. Good job, glad you got it fixed!
