A Note For Howard

Hi Mate,

Sorry ive not got back to you about the 00m12 fix ive been working in Itay this past week or so.

I managed to get hold of the 00m12 kit in Germany, so im gonna give it a go myself i think. By the time if driven all they way down to see you it would more than probably make the situation worse.

One question though. The two copper washers that come with the kit i assume are supposed to go onto the tensioner. Are they supposed to be deformed in any way? Lookking at the write up it mentions the guy having not put them on correct and having to re-do the tensioner. The kit came with two washers and both are not flat but sort of twisted. Do they go on in a way to cover the spring vent on the tensioner?

All the other bits seem fine but... part #3917366 i think that is the oil gallery cap and copper washers? if thats so then i got em free in the part #4146343 kit

Thats ok m8 no problem and I agree. As for the washers, the kits I have been using from Fords only come with one washer so I have no idea. Put it this way if you space it out too much then there will be less pressure applied. So I would fit just one and it would be the thinest. You should find the fitting fun but straightforward.

There is in the Ford kit. New tensioner, spring washer (thin) oil galery plug, plastic rod, 6 lower intake rings and 2 upper intake rubber seals.

yep got everything.. The little package on the right was in the main package so its a little bonus. Its that washer with the galley plug that i have two of and they are bent..

Only use one and yes they are ment to be like that.

Why is it bent then?

Its made of spring steel. The slight bend helps it prevent rotation.
