ok this might sound wierd at first but here me out. is it legal and can it be done to cut off the front off the headlight and replace it with a clear see through plate to increase the light that shows through. and then maybe readjust the light so that it does not shine into eyes of others. i got the idea looking at my step moms car and she has clear lights.

i dont think i got my point across. ill get some pics with me camera and stick them on here real quick like. so hang with me and check back in a few:D

you mean like the euro style lights that are like crystal cleaar, and have reflectors and all kinds of crap?? hmm well the only route for that si what like expo5.0 did and do a mounty coversion front end. Also i not sure if it woudl be legal to cut the front of you headlight off and put a new oen on, but i do know it wil lprolly look like crap, you would have a seam and crap that would be real noticable......

PEACE

PS: ill check it in the morning, im goign to bed

Yeah, I dont thnk the DOT would allow that.....the lights have to be a certain spec.

and hers

if they dont work

go here

your talking euro
you'd have to buy them, you can't make them

On yours the rear reflector and front lenses work together to focus the light. On hers just the reflector is active and the lense is just clear. So no, it won't work.

However, your headlights are height adjustable already.

ok i get it now. thanks guys. just one of those ideas ya know:p

Yes it can be done i had a friend with a sunfire that took off his headlight housing and put a piece of plexiglass on instead off the original cover, but you will definately get better results if you use projector headlights. To make it work he put his headlight housing in the oven for 10-15 mins enough to let the glue holding it together soften then pull it apart. I will try to find a pic of this and post them to show you what it looks like.

than he prolly had a two peice head light, liek it had a lense peice and houseing, i know my 1st gens are one peice, and im pretty sure the 2nd gens are too, so this cannot be done, also he would get busted by the cops if they found out

PEACe

He lives in florida and just had a vehicle inspection and they didn't say a word to him

that is IF they found out;)

most cops dont bother with my headlights, there more interested in the blue lights on the skull

where at in florida?? most of the countys round here dotn have inspections, actaully i didnt think there were anymore inspections in florida.... hmm learned soemthing new

PEACE

He lives in Tampa he said since he got in an accident and they totalled out his car, so when he got it all put back together he said he had to have it inspected by his insurance and the DOT. That is what he said to me wether he is telling the truth or not i don't know i have been back in tampa for 6 years so i don't know any of the laws there anymore

hmm, thats kinda wierd but i dont know lol, i know they dotn have anymore of the yearly testing down here anymore, liek smog and that crap

PEACE

Florida doesnt have vehicle inspections. If he did the repair work himself (a friend or whatever) then it would have to be inspected before it would be allowed back on the road. Thats why there are certified body shops.

hack the front off of my headlights and glue plexiglass on? That sounds like a GREAT idea...

The second gens are a two piece headlight. See through plastic and opaque plastic cannot be made at the same time(duh!). This and after my accident the clear part fell off mine. So it can be seperated.

it will work

when my dad got in his wreck..i had to replace the head light..so i took the old headlight and messed with it..this would work..you have to aim the headlight down alot more so it does not shine up..but it will work..take some clear plastic..epoxy it over..then paint around the seem so it does not show..and your done..
