A4LD , just rebuilt it & got er in .......but

howdy folks

like the title says , yup I got er together & filled it full of fluild .

Everything was going good , until i brought it up to 60kms & ......nothing ......'

it gets to about 50 kms & shifts out of 1st , but don't shift into second . When i put the shift selctor into 2nd , 2nd works ( just fine )

any ideas ?

just a guess, but are you positive that your modulator is good and the little pin is in there right?

dam it !

I was just @ the SHOp & took her for another test drive . It don't shift @ alll( it will shift out of gear & u have to slow down & the it engages again ) Could it be a sticky servo ? she seems like she wants to shift but is being heald back.

D & OD behave the same way .....don't shift out of first . D1 works good & D2 works good .

When i was backin up i heard noise that wasn't theere before . I never rebuilt the govenor . Just took it aapart & put it back together on dis-assy .

is a modulator a throttle valve ?

Welcome to this forum! The modulator is vacuum controlled. It is on the passenger's side of the transmission to the rear of the 2 servos. The governor is in the rear inside of the extension housing. yes that litttle rod is in the modulator ,

I disassembled valve body for cleaning & put a trans go shift kit in it .I am really bent ! That was a whole lot of work & this &%$*ing thing is still junk !

O well , my mama didn't raise a quiter . I'll tear that pig out again if i have to . I had high spirits , really thought cause i took my time & paid atten it was gonna work .

Worst part about it , There isn't 1 spot on that rebuild that i feel " weary" about .......I did all assy. checks req'd
