To start I have a 89 Bronco II Eddie Bauer. Well the band for manual low and reverse slipped from the lugs:mad:..... is there any way to fix this without fully tearing down the transmission?

I just rebuilt mine and I don't see how it could be done. Do you think it slipped off of the servo or the anchor side? Maybe if you pull the reverse servo and stick something long and small up through the servo shaft hole, you can manipulate it back into place??

Thanks for the reply but I all ready checked that and it's just flopping around in there :(. So will I need any special tools to disassemble it far enough to hook the band back up? It's been rebuilt very recently so thats not an issue. The vehicle it was in was moved after I took the V.B. out so the output shaft apparently knocked the band off. I did not know that would be a problem or I would have taken the whole tranny when I found it. :banghead:

Thank you for the welcome and the perfect advice. Josh was correct I was able to wiggle it back into place and TADA reverse:D. Just in time ...it started snowing here again. The wealth of info and friendly replies make this site a true asset to the internet. :salute:

Sometimes you just have to take a step back and then jump back in. Glad to hear it worked.
