a4ld on the edge of going 2 $hit

this is whats is wrong with my a4ld, whenever i rev the engine to shift gears if i need to, or just whenever i rev the engine in any gear, the transmission just grinds (really loud and nasty noise)> do u guys think you could estimate on how much more time i have left with it. Because this is my dailly driver and i go to school and to work everyday, so i need my car.

Im thinking of going with this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2470999773&category=33727 because getting it rebuilt to stock condition would cost about the same with the shop around my area. Is this a solid transmission to go with?

You are on borrowed time as it is. Hard to comment on the rebuild you mention, lotsa sizzle, not much concrete info (hydroblasted - WOW!).

Blasted = Pressure
Hydroblasted--- Pressure washed?

have you checked the fluid level i had a modulator burn out and cause all the fluid to be burnt up in the engine and the low level made the tranny grind like that. just a suggestion
