I'll give a brief history on my a4ld in my 94 limited v6 4x4
since my transmission decided to catch on fire for me in the summer it has only been a constant headache dealing with my tranny company. I had it rebuilt once only to have it back a week later because they didnt align the pump right and it completely destroyed the rebuild they did the week before. that was headache number one.
when i got it back there was an issue with the clutch packs not grabbing when the tranny was hot and it eventually burnt out that pack and the pump again. in it goes again under warranty.
two and a half weeks later i finally got her back last night. the slip was gone, torque was 100% there drove like a bat out of hell like it was before the fire(long story), perfect right? not until i went to exit the highway and as it down shifts from 3-2 between 40 and 30 km it seems to get stuck in a "rut". the only way to get out of the rut was to put my foot to the floor and it would kickdown or continue braking until 20k and the humming would stop so it would jump to 1st.
I'm at about my wits end with this transmission company even though its all warranty. if any one would help pointing me in the right direction. i know my truck very well i'm just a noob when it comes to transmissions. I did read the sticky about the 5r55 shift problem, dont think it compares tho as mine only catches when its downshifting.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
