My tranny slips going into 2nd gear from being stone cold in the mornings. After it warms up for a few minutes it seems to be fine.
I've found a couple threads on this...

One mentions an additive called Seafoam and the other makes a point about the filter allowing air in because of the seal.
I've checked my fuild and it's full and looks fine. Doesn't smell or have anything floating around in there. It's been changed regularly since I've had it.
Does anybody else have any other suggestions or insight to this problem?
And I don't know the history of the transmission. I bought the Explorer used and the engine has about 200K on it. But I belive the tranny has had a major service on it sometime before I bought it.
Thanks.
