A4LD to manual swap

I know it wont be a straight bolt in but what trans would be the easiest to swap in im willing to use junkyard parts as long as it wont take forever to do. also is the clutch hydraulic cause I was planning on using a dummy grenade for a shift knob and the lever on it could be rigged as the clutch.


the specs on the X: 1992, 2wd, 4dr, 4.0 v6

The m5od is a direct bolt in swap. Yes, hydraulic clutch.

What do you mean by using the lever on the grenade as a clutch? I have pretty much the same setup in my 94, except I am modifying an old Hurst shifter to work with the M50D. Good luck! Keep us informed and throw up some pics on here!
