You connect it to the pressure port on the trans.
IIRC its on the drivers side of the trans up and towards the front when compared to the shift linkage pivot on the side of the trans.

I am having the same exact issue with my tranny. Won't engage into drive without revving it. What did you end up doing? Did it end up being the Z link or something else?
