A4wd stuck on,help

Hello to all,
my 99 xl sport awd seems to be on all the time,can feel it when turning left,more then right,had a mech.check it out,drained&refilled xfer case still not old gal she once was?anyway to disable auto mode?

I once got my explorer stuck in 4x4 low, I was piss drunk out in the middle of the woods chilling by a fire, but luckily my buddys got a little more brains than me and hopped in, put it in nuetrel and got it right out. Can't believe I didn't think of that.
