I installed my Pro Comp AAL over the weekend. Yesterday, I had my exhaust installed and while the X was on the lift, I inspected the AAL to see if any of the nuts were backing off the U-bolts. Everything was good with the U-bolts, but the nuts on the center pins had backed off probably 1/2" down the center pin. I tightened them back up with an open end wrench, but at the same time, I had to hold the center pin with another hand because the pin turned if I didn't. I got them as tight as possible, but I could still move the center pin vertically approximately 1/8" to 3/16". I tried to tighten them with a deepwell socket, but the socket its the spring perch before it can tighten the nut the rest of the way. I'll obviously have to remove the u-bolts and drop the perch in order to tighten the nut the rest of the way. Has anyone else ran into this? Maybe I should apply some Loctite to the center pin. Is it unsafe to drive it the way it is? Like I said, the u-bolts are tight.
