hey guys I have a question about my air ride on my 97 explorer. The last couple trips off road my check air suspension warning comes on. I don't notice any sagging and it seems to work fine I'm guessing maybe the pump is overheating. I think I'm just going to eliminate the air shocks altogether and install gas shocks. Anyone have a decent shock I could replace the air shocks with? But what I really wanted to ask is has anyone used the pump as an auxiliary pump for tires? I haven't really looked at how the pumps are set up and how many exit ports there are but either way making one of the ports turn into a standard valve stem attachment. What do you guys think? I think I'm going to take a look at it and give it a shot maybe I'll be the first one to do it.

I replaced my totally worn out air ride shocks with Bilstein at the front and Gas Magnums (temporarily) until I get my Nissan Patrol Konis to modify for the rear; it now actually steers and doesn't bounce of the road.

One thing, I don't know if this is across the board, I think the torsion bars are a bit thinner on the air ride equipped trucks. I have a set of B bars from my old XLT to try when I feel like I've got too much time on my hands.

I too have been thinking of converting the on board pump to inflate tyres.
I think you'd need some sort of tank, I'm eyeing off a propane bottle.

I have an add a leaf so the load adjustable shocks are not going to be an option. Just want to go with a standard gas shock. Standard shocks will bolt up right? Also my torsion bars say A on them. Are those the thin ones?
