Hey fellows!
I just bought me 2 round grapefruit sized utility lights to be mounted on my Westin Safari Bar. I was wondering if they can be wired into the original wiring to the original fog lights. So that the original fog lights and the lights I just bought will all come on at the same time I hit the original fog light switch? Is this too original :) I thank you all for any future advice.

Wire them up separately with their own switch, fuse, and relay. If the lights didn't come with their own install kit, go to Autozone and get an aftermarket light install kit, I know they carry decent ones by Pilot. They also carry a bunch of switches so you can find the one you like.

NEVER hook aftermarket lights to the stock light wiring: you'll end up with fried wiring, busted lights, and maybe damage to other electrical components, even the radio or computer.

Many of the switches Autozone carries are very small. I'm sure you can find somewhere to mount one. Pick a place where you can add additional switches later: I swear, switches multiply once you have the mod bug! Most switches just require a .25" hole, no big deal. Here's where I have most of my switches:

Another suggestion is in the forward part of the console: around where the pockets are. I've also seen rows of swiches installed under the dash under the headlight switch. You can put switches almost anywhere.

Good luck!

i agree with alec......several people tried the stock way way and most have reported major problems with them not functioning properly....just add that extra switch....it will save a lot of work and frustration later
