ABS light came on last night on my way home from work and today after about 5 miles of driving the brake pedal started bouncing (like i was on ice or a slick surface) while i was on dry pavement and slowing down from 10mph or less... any ideas?

Thanks in advance

could very well be one of the sensor going out. Its tricking the system thinking there is a lockup on one of the wheels. Good news if the ABS light is on it posted a trouble code, which tells you which sensor. Dealer can read it for $$$$, local brake shop maybe cheaper $$. Some parts stores will read them for free but only for Basic codes. You need a code reader with Enhanced codes, thus dealer brake shop.

Or you can try throwing parts at it, . . since it activates the ABS system most likely culprit is the Rear ABS sensor on the Diff about $50 (cost of a brake shop read) you could try that. Most common is the master cyl switch but that only tell the ABS your on the brakes, it will trigger the light anywhere from 15-30min of driving and doesn't turn on the system; cruise won't work either. The wheel sensor actives the pump.
