ABS light is on with a clunking in the front driver's side.

Hi I have a 99 Mercury Mountaineer and I have a question as to what the problem may be. My ABS service light came on a week ago and I now how an awful clunking noise on the driverside front. It only clunks when Im going straight forward/backward on the gas. Any ideas please let me know

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 95-01 section. Check the sensor by the front wheel.

ya i thought of that but why would the truck be clunking bad on the front left side

could be that your bearing assembly is shot, it also contains the abs sensor. Jack up the wheel and spin it, see if there is any binding. The replacement part comes with a new sensor too.
