2002 Explorer XLS
Hi,

I have a 2002 XLS Explorer and when I accelerate over 3k RPM the ABS light comes on / the cruise control will not turn on at all - I got Code C1440 with the INNOVA 3100

I read through the forums and did the research for the ABS coming on, on acceleration and a few other threads that point to the Cruise Control Cutout Switch on top of the brake master cylinder. So I got a switch from Oreillys - Its not a Ford OEM its their off brand (link = Standard-CCR1)

I replaced it and it did nothing, no change, light still comes on, on acceleration - Did I just waste $20 on a part should I have gone with a OEM

I also have Codes - P1568 Speed control unable to hold speed & P1703 Brake Switch Out of Self-Test Range

But I think that is a different fix

Thanks

I’ve got the exact same thing recently let me know if you find a fix. I’m getting my codes pulled in a week or so when I head to a shop so if I fix it first I’ll update aswell. Good luck hope you find the fix
