ABS light on & flashing 4x4 light

Hi guys...haven'treally seen this exact problemin search, Started happening last month. On occasion the ABS light goes on and stays on and the 4x4 light flashes; it lasts a couple of hours then it stops for a couple of weeks. I have a scangauge II, but that has to be plugged into the port for an extended time before it starts to register codes, so by the time it is ready to send codes the lights stop. I am going to leave the scangauge in for now to see if I can get a code but thought someone on here might have experenced this problem. Its an 04 Ex eddie with a 4.0...Thanks

mine did the same thing. 90% of the time its just the rear speed sensor, which is a 20 min fix. By the way, your scangauge will not read the code since it is an abs code and not a dtc code.
