abs light, trac control light and 4x4 light ON!!!!

My 05 is having the same issue with the lights, but no issues driving. With the exception of taking a sharp corner and got a grinding jerking sensation fron the right front. Just replaced the left bearing.

If you buy a front sensor and it doesn’t solve the problem, can you use it on the other side?

SO what the title means is that my trac control light is on as well as the abs light. The 4x4 high light flashes off and on also.

When i start my ex it goes only to 10 mph and struggles very hard, the brakes act as if i were sliding on ice, the abs is activating. Than as i turn the ex makes a very loud popping sound and jumps, like the axle is binding.

I got it towed to my friends shop today, it may go to ford cause i have the exttended warranty.

ANY IDEAS??????

BTW does bigger tires void a warranty?

So I am pretty new to this. I actuallybeen reading this forum this I got my explorer back in 2010. This is the first time posting because I am delaing with this same issue. Idiot lights everywhere. I did pull the front tire off and took the speed sensors out, the inside teeth look good but tue sensor was full of grease..... maybe a busted hub? Could this trigger my sensors amd light to go crazy? I replaced this hubs maybe 6 months ago... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had ABS light and 4x4 flashing, it was caused by worn front bearing. Bad bearing lets wheel jiggle enough so speed sensor can't read revolutions. Replaced both front bearings same time, quite easy and not too expensive parts. New bearing assembly had also new speed sensor. I had about 88 thousand mileage in my 2004 XLT when problem appeared. Had same symptoms on my former 1996 XLT and exactly same cause, bad bearing.

Speed sensor can be measured with common ohm-meter, values are supposed to be around one or two kilo-ohm range for working one, zero or infinity means bad one. Worn bearing can be identified by holding tire and shaking it. Speed sensor connector is in the wheel well.

ABS, Trac Control, and 4x4 lights illuminated!

My ABS, traction control, and 4x4 lights are illuminated. Vehicle is running at 5-10mph and jerks periodically. My problem sounds similar to other mentioned posts.

Is it harmful to attempt driving it, or should I just have it towed to the dealership? Or, should I attempt to remove the ABS fuse... can it then be driven?

Personally, my next stop would be garage or repair shop. If you have bad bearing, it may have rather serious consequences like wheel separating from your vehicle!
